Matthew Hernberg

Matt is the Assistant Controller on the Finance Team at Beckway. He holds a breadth of business acumen and skills in information technology, tax, and financial accounting reporting. In his current role, Matt supports the Corporate Controller in facilitating the finance department which includes, but not limited to, information technology administration, accounting and tax reporting. He has experience working in high-growth environments and dedicated to assisting in effective change management, technology implementation and integration.

Matt began his career in public accounting at Grant Thornton as a Senior Tax Associate. After Grant Thornton, he worked at KPMG in the Corporate Tax team. Most recently, Matt was a Senior Tax Associate at the Siegfried Group, a public accounting and advisory firm, where he handled financial accounting and tax reporting for high-net worth individuals and small-to-mid size businesses for the company’s portfolio.

Matt graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from Rowan University specializing in Management Information Systems (MIS). He had earlier earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).
