A large private equity firm was bidding in a competitive process for a multi-location retail services business. A key component of the valuation was the target’s excellent operating capabilities and their happy customers. But were those customers really satisfied with their service? Would they leave if there was a change of ownership?

Beckway fielded customized and highly-targeted consumer research to answer these questions in 10 days – without a customer list from the target. We identified the relevant locations and created hyper-local research geographies, then structured a survey to reach the target’s customers without over-spending.

Our output? Fresh data from hundreds of current and former customers showing their satisfaction, reasons for picking the target, and reasons for leaving – all with comparisons to area competitors.
